Our mission: to simplify international transportation through technology and data! ✈️

Founded in 2017, Ovrsea is a new generation freight forwarder that uses technology to simplify and optimize international transportation for companies. We support more than 600 companies such as Engie, Vinci, Devialet, Sézane or even Nuxe in more than 60 countries in their international freight transport.
We allow our customers to manage all their transport issues in a few clicks from our , from quotation to invoicing, by digitizing the entire transport tracking experience. We have also developed an in-house platform to facilitate the operational management of our customers’ transports in order to best meet their needs in record time.

Ovrsea, a fast-growing company …

The year 2021 has been strategic for Ovrsea: Since January 2021, we have joined forces with the Bolloré Group to accelerate our development and we have recruited 50 people.
2022 promises to be an even more challenging year with the recruitment of 100+ people, the opening of 4 new international offices and thus expand on the international market! Moreover we plan to triple our revenue for the third year in a row.

What is it like being the Head of Business Development at OVRSEA?

As the Head of Business Development, you will be in charge of the European Sales Development Representative team. Your dedication, time and investment will be crucial to ensure your team’s success. The team’s main objective is to bring relevant and pre-qualified leads to our Account Executives. You will work closely with senior sales management, marketing and other business partners to develop a successful customer acquisition/GTM strategy, depending on the market’s maturity. Being well versed in sales tools, (Salesforce, Hubspot, Aircall, Notion, Slack) will also help you navigate through our internal communication in order to optimize and sustain a healthy pipeline.

Your assignments will be divided into 3 parts:

Hiring and onboarding (30%)

  • Find and hire top talents that will help us achieve our ambitious goals
  • Continuous onboarding, mentoring and development of SDR’s which includes training and monitoring team members
  • Motivate team members through creative incentives & ensure continuous team involvement
  • Create a fun, high energy environment where people love coming to work

Pipeline Management and Sales effectiveness (50%)

  • Create and manage inbound lead flow and track efficiency of sales/marketing programs
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting on volume statistics, lead pipeline, conversion of sales accepted opportunities
  • Own our SDR playbook’s effectiveness and adapt it as we move into new, untapped European markets

Strategic vision & Roadmap (20%)

  • Ensure regular reporting to the VP Sales
  • Refine and evolve a scalable, measurable, and predictable process for running and growing the team
  • Be the interim point of contact between our C-levels and the commercial development team

The BDR Team:

The BDR team plays a big role within our Sales Team. They are in charge of generating commercial opportunities by identifying, contacting and qualifying prospects. They are ambitious, fearless and would do the extra mile to book demos with the best prospects.

The team’s challenges in 2022:

Open international office
Hire top Business Developers
Lead enrichment for the current and upcoming markets

Profil recherché

🔎 Who are we looking for ?

  • You have an extensive professional experience as a BDR/SDR with outstanding track record (mandatory)
  • You have perfect command of French & English language (spoken and written) is mandatory, any other European language is a plus (starting with Spanish)
  • You have excellent oral & written communication skills
  • You have natural leadership qualities
  • You have strong motivation, professional ambition and embedded extra mile mentality
  • Experience managing an SDR/BDR team is clearly a plus
